Tomato Košir, 
born on 14 June 1978 in Kranj. Graduated from the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana, and from the Department of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana, in 2002. 
Gained his first work experience in Dušan Grobovšek’s DerKewDer Studio, Studio Marketing, and in the Formitas agency.

2009 – 2011: taught at the Department of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana.

2009 – 2017: organized 15 international workshops in typeface design TypeClinic, where he also lectures and teaches.
Also lectures at the Emzin seminar on visual communication.

2010: received the title of the higher education professor in the field of visual communications design.

2010: held an independent exhibition in the Galerija Avla NLB gallery.

2011: founded the asylum for engaged students and renounced assistants of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design – the CGP Secret Society.

2012: the moderator of the meeting of the Brumen Award winners From Idea to Award in the Museum of Architecture and Design as well as a series of meetings entitled Young Artists.

2013: lectured in the context of the module Design of the Education in Cultural Management and Publishing.

2014: lectured in the context of Creative Mornings in Ljubljana.
2015: held an independent exhibition in the Kresija gallery Objectively (*)tomato.

2016: lectured in the context of the Slovene Book Fair – Reading between bastards and widows.
2017: lectured on SOF – Slovenian advertising festival and Slovenian advertising Chamber.

His works have been displayed in Slovenia and abroad at more than fifty group exhibitions of graphic design and in more than thirty foreign books. 
He has received numerous domestic and international awards. The most important of them are: Red Dot Award, Merit Award of the Art Directors Club in New York; 2. student (group) award of the Type Directors Club in New York; the Graphis Merit Award; the Grand Prix Brumen Award and the Brumen Award of the Biennial of Slovene Visual Communications; the ICMA Gold Award; the Most Beautiful Book Award of the Slovenian Book Fair; two golden Bra awards of the Magdalena Festival.


Tomato Košir, 
rojen 14. junija 1978 v Kranju. Leta 1997 je zaključil Srednjo šolo za oblikovanje in fotografijo v Ljubljani, leta 2002 pa je kot Zoisov štipendist diplomiral na Oddelku za oblikovanje Akademije za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje Univerze v Ljubljani.
Prve delovne izkušnje je pridobil v studiu Dušana Grobovška DerKewDer, Studiu Marketing ter v agenciji Formitas.
2009–2011: poučuje na Oddelku za oblikovanje Akademije za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje UL. 
2009–2017: organizira 15 mednarodnih delavnic oblikovanja črkovnih vrst TypeClinic, kjer tudi predava in poučuje. Pravtako predava na Emzinovem seminarju vizualnih komunikacij. 
2010: prejme habilitacijo za naziv visokošolski učitelj na področju oblikovanja vizualnih komunikacij. 
2010: ima samostojno razstavo v Galeriji Avla NLB.
2011: ustanovi azil za angažirane študente in zatajene asistente ALUO – Tajno društvo CGP.
2012: moderira sklop srečanj Brumnovih nagrajencev Od zamisli do nagrade v Muzeju arhitekture in oblikovanja, ter sklop srečanj Mladi ustvarjalci.
2013: predava v sklopu modula Oblikovanje, Izobraževanja na področju Kulturnega managementa in založništva.
2014: predava v okviru Creative Mornings v Ljubljani. 
2015: ima samostojno razstavo v Galeriji Kresija – (*)tomato v objektivu.
2016: predava v okviru Slovenskega knjižnega sejma – Brati med pankrti in vdovami.
2017: predava na SOF-u – Slovenskem oglaševalskem festivalu in Slovenski oglaševalski zbornici.
Njegova dela so bila razstavljena doma in po svetu na preko 50 skupinskih razstavah grafičnega oblikovanja ter preko 30 tujih knjigah. 
Prejel je številne domače in mednarodne nagrade med katerimi so najpomembnejše: Velika Brumnova nagrada ter Brumnova nagrada Bienala vidnih sporočil Slovenije, nagrada Merit – Art Directors Cluba New York, 2. študenstva (skupinska) nagrada Type Directors Cluba iz New Yorka, Graphisova nagrada Merit, Zlata nagrada ICMA, nagrada najlepša knjiga Slovenskega knjižnega sejma, ter dva Zlata modrca Festivala Magdalena.
